“Alfa-Bank, Microsoft, VISA and IIDF gather developers for the 8-week hackaton“ AlfaCamp 2.0 ”
From May 26, 2015, Alfa-Bank announces receipt of applications for the hackathon of financial and technological projects “AlfaCamp 2.0”, which the bank holds in conjunction with Microsoft, Visa and the accelerator of IIDF. The first hackathon took place last year.
“Alfa-Bank was the first among Russian banks to conduct fintech Camp AlfaCamp 2014. This experience taught us a lot and showed the potential of such events, so the question of the need to repeat it was not in front of us. Partner Visa, with the support of which we held the event in 2014, also supported the idea of continuing, ”commented Elena Bocharova, the head of the e-commerce product department at Alfa-Bank.
“AlfaCamp 2.0” is eight weeks of intensive work of participating teams, free Microsoft software, including Azure cloud hosting resources, free developer accounts for the Windows Store, Alfa-Bank technology and assistance of the bank's specialists in introducing these technologies into the products and services of the developers. In addition, the program provides daily lectures and trainings, as well as meetings with Visa experts to help participants with different levels of project readiness show the maximum progress during AlfaCamp. ” This year the winners will not qualify for investment, as was the case last year, but for the possibility of partnership with organizing companies.

Also, a distinctive feature of the event from “AlfaCamp 2014” will be “precamp” - i.e. a preliminary session in which the organizers will be able to evaluate the teams directly in the work process.
Like last year, AlfaCamp will be held in a specially designated program room in the center of Moscow, where teams will be able to focus on their projects. Mentors will work with the teams every day to help with the work and also to avoid mistakes when developing the project and launching it.
Participation in the program is free. Residents of the regions provided accommodation in a hostel. Apply for participation in AlfaCamp 2.0 BEFORE June 16, 2015 .
