I want to know the truth.

What do you answer when your girl asks what she looks like? That's right: “Perfectly expensive” :) Approximately (imho) in 90% of cases the answer does not depend on what the girl looks like. Why? So that the girl is not offended. But this is nothing. This state of affairs has already become a kind of tradition :)

But if I ask my friend to evaluate the project or text I have created, I want to get an honest assessment, and not an assurance that the “text is cool”. But they do not want to offend me (I mean the opinion of just an acquaintance, and not a professional, whom I ask for advice).

You can often hear a similar dialogue:
- Do you really want to hear the truth?
- Yes.
- <truth>
- * offended *

It all seems a bit uncomfortable to me. And here is my suggestion: to make some small text (statement), the meta-message of which will be “I want to know the truth”. Post it somewhere on the Internet so that you can put a tick (I agree / disagree). Or just place it somewhere. In order to facilitate mutual understanding :)
