New search engine searches for stolen financial information

The American company Trusted ID launched a search engine for stolen credit card information - Stolen ID Search .



The search engine indexes those sites where attackers usually spread or sell financial information. Thus, the user can enter his credit card number or social security card to find out if information about him is available on the Internet.



The number entered during the search is not stored in the Stolen ID Search database, its creators claim. In addition, as Michael Arrington, the author of the blog Techcrunch, writes , without any additional data, the credit card number can not give anything to those who steal financial information.
