Gravatar will be back in February

The Gravatar service will resume its work in early February, its creator Tom Werner reported in an official blog. When the site resumes, all account holders will be sent a notification by email.

Gravatar is designed to store avatars. On blogs that support Gravatar, his avatar is displayed next to the user's comment. At the end of last year, due to technical problems with hosting and database overload (90.000 accounts registered for Gravatar), the service suspended its work.
