A few days ago I was lucky and I “won” a gift from Amperka: a new miracle thing - Tekhnokub. Today I received this gift and I want to share with you what I managed to do in 5 hours of bullying the poor device and my crooked brains.
Still interesting? Then welcome under cat.
First, a little about sad
When ordering a technocub, I chose the delivery method “pick up at the Logibox post office” and immediately paid for it (270 p.). However, when he came to pick up the parcel, the postal machine again demanded that I pay for the delivery. As a result, it turned out that the delivery was paid twice. I wrote to Amperku while I wait for the answer. But this is not the main thing. UPD: the problem was solved the next day. I called the girl from Amperka, apologized, explained about manual data entry and, possibly, the operator’s error. She asked if it would be convenient for me to make these 270 p. get in the form of money on the phone. I agreed and in 10 minutes the money was in my account.
The cube came in a small beautiful box: ')
Box
Inside was such a set:
Set
While I was driving to pick up the set, another idea came up that could be done with it. Therefore, the first thing it was decided to assemble a “Morse cube”. I added a button to the 4 LEDs that were in the set (although the school had only buttons for the layout, so the first version didn’t look very much) and this was a miracle:
By the way! I don’t know if this was the intention, but the layout is remarkably in the cavity under the cube.
Then I wanted to assemble a kitchen timer based on the technocubus. But not the same as suggested and7ey (Potentiometer + display + buzzer). In my timer to the 4th LEDs (they sit too comfortably inside the cube and even some of them did not want to be removed) added a 16 * 2 screen and 2 buttons. UPD: with the screen I was ambushed. I've only worked with Uno and Nano before, where my screen was connected to A4 and A5. Iskra is an analogue of Leonardo, where the screen must be connected to 2 and 3 (digital!). 30 minutes I was stupid because of this and could not understand why the screen does not work :(
True, there were only one decent buttons and a house, so the second is the touch sensor, which is the button, only in another case. Dzhigurda, about whom the distinguished acos spoke in the post on the first link, smokes nervously on the sidelines, seeing the insides of my timer:
Inner world
This miracle works like this:
A sketch for it can be found here . UPD: sketch updated. Now it works exactly as it should.
Actually, in the sketch, comments seem to be sufficient, and the video shows everything, but in a few words about the timer operation: the Reset button drops the timer value and turns off the screen backlight. The “Setup” button for each press increases the timer value by 1 minute. You can not press it all the time, but just hold it down. Then the timer will increase every second for 1 minute. If you hold the button for 5 seconds, the timer will increase by 5 minutes at a time. When the timer is set, the countdown starts immediately. For better visibility, in the second line of the screen, the last character of each even second lights up "*", and each odd number is replaced with a space (the star goes out).
And at the end a couple of words about technocubic. Initially, it was scary to collect it, because the protrusions of the parts in the grooves were sooooo tight and I was stupidly afraid to break everything. Using a flat screwdriver, it was easy and convenient to disassemble the cube, and the more you disassemble it, the easier the parts are connected. I disassembled the cube 5-7 times: nothing broke and did not let loose.
A little later, it will be necessary to create something else with him. If there is interest, I will share the result.
UPD2: re-insert all the pictures. Reduced resolution. Sorry, in a hurry, poured as they were directly from the camera.
