DevExpress at DevCon 2015

DevCon is a development conference for the Microsoft platform, which takes place in late May or early June. It traditionally gathers a huge number of people - both visitors and speakers. This year was no exception, and on May 20-21, the natural resort “Yakhonty” was transformed into a platform for the presentation and discussion of long-awaited new products, amazing devices and interesting news. Our company DevExpress produces a variety of tools for developing under the Microsoft platform and also sponsors this event. Therefore, we could not pass by such an event, and were pleased to present DevExpress at DevCon 2015. As it was, look under the cut.

The conference venue is located near the town of Noginsk near Moscow. It should be noted that there is crystal clear air and beautiful landscapes.

Not far from the pond and the main buildings are neat streets with compact houses and cottages.



In the conference hall, a DevExpress stand was waiting for us, which we had to equip and decorate.



This year we had both a large number of colorful brochures and a lot of devices for displaying our products - laptops, phones, tablets, and also a stand with a touch-monitor.



Of course, we could not do without our main talisman - the glittering Tula samovar, which was wildly popular. This year we decided not to bring traditional Tula gingerbread, but in vain - many remembered, approached and asked about them. We are very pleased, so next year we promise to improve, and bring your favorite gingerbread.



Well, we were the main actors on the stand - we talked about DevExpress products, answered questions, discussed opportunities and improvements to our tools.



This year, the conference was held under the slogan “The World of Living Code”, and the main stars of DevCon 2015 were a fluffy cat, a owl, a fox and a raccoon.



They all posed with pleasure to the public, so it took us a considerable amount of time to tear our more receptive colleagues from the DevExpress from these lovely animals.



The raccoon was especially popular, I suspect that because of its thrust, to rinse something in a small basin of water.



Conference reports were held in several rooms at the same time, both small and huge. We managed to visit several of them.



And our wonderful colleague Alexander Blinov at this conference presented a report on developing applications for Xamarin Forms . Record of the report can be found among all the videos on the site DevCon .



It is worth noting that during the reports the halls were almost completely filled with visitors, because the topics of the reports were very, very diverse.



Next to our booth was a wall for signatures of visitors, and by the end of the second day it was very, very colorfully decorated.



Of course, we also left our mark on her.



In general, the conference gave us many pleasant impressions. We are glad that we had such a chance to introduce our company DevExpress at DevCon 2015.
