CNGeoip - geography module, what it is, what they eat, how to test it ...
The software product that allows to determine the city of the Internet user by IP-address - CNGeoip. The product is a binary database containing the distribution of all IP addresses by city, country, region and software interface for working with the database. All place names are available in Latin (global standard and spelling), the national language and Russian.
Using CNGeoip, the owner of an Internet resource or service can determine from which city the visitor came and respond accordingly, for example, to greet “Hello Murmansk!”, Or “Our nearest service / store / department in Yekaterinburg is located at ...”. Of particular importance information about the city and the country of the visitor acquires with advertising targeting, when analyzing the statistics of site visits.
