Transhumanism to the masses: unlocking the device on Android Lollipop with an implanted NFC chip

image Back in school, I met an anime genre. Cartoon dolls with huge eyes were not particularly impressed, but then I saw on TV the TV series Wonder Beat Scrumble - and for me it was revealed that the anime looks good too: every kind of mechanics, electronics, and generally cool things connected with the technogenic way of development.

Since then, I watched with admiration for the development of technology in our time and not in cartoons, but in reality - computers, cell phones, wireless communications, bionic prostheses. I learned the new term “transhumanism” and dreamed, dreamed, dreamed that someday people would begin to expand the capabilities of their bodies by combining biology and mechanics with electronics.

For me, this dream began to come true - about this under the cut.

image We live in a wonderful time when children's dreams become reality, and I personally decided to start small - I have an NTFC 216 nfc chip implanted in my brush, thanks to which I can perform some actions that have been known for a long time, but ... a part of me and this is damn fun and interesting: you can write biometrics for doctors, for example, blood type; you can write a cryptokey from bitcoin; You can simply use it as an identifier for a smart home or start a car with a simple touch.

Recently, my favorite smart issued a message, saying "Madam, there is a software update to Android Lollipop." I have been looking at this version for a long time and made an update in no time. Before that, I had a 4.4.4 system, on which there were root rights and a special software just to unlock the smart using NFC tags. And this software has safely stopped working. It was sad - I was very accustomed to such a convenient method of unlocking and even began to think about rolling back to the previous firmware. But where our not disappeared! Diligent digging on these very Internet sites led me to a description of the lotion directly from the Google Good Corporation , embedded directly into the “lollipop”.

Smart Lock is called this pribluda and it implements several interesting methods of unlocking the smartphone or keeping it from being locked, for example, by location.
Naturally, I was most interested in the possibility of working with NFC tags. And my expectations were fully met, thanks, Google!

And so these emotions were bright, kind, eternal, that I decided to share my “discovery” in the context of working with implants - I recorded a small video on the simplest setting of this function. Well, and at the same time show the top, even more likely the tiny top of a huge iceberg called transhumanism.
