The
Haiku OS team, which received
five students at its disposal within the framework of the Google Summer of Code, decided to apply directly to the community with a request to help fund four more GSoC students who were not included in the final five. Each of them, taking into account the collected funds, is supposed to pay $ 2500 in case of successful completion of the task. You can view the list of students, projects, and how to transfer funds to support them
here . This will be a very interesting experience, considering that, perhaps, for the first time, the work of students will be paid for not by the world-famous search engine, but by the users themselves.
The community responded to the call, and
in the first day raised a thousand and a few dollars , which would be enough to buy half of the student. Enumerations continue to come.
