Need your opinion! What are you using in the cloud for unstable OS with short term support? (please write in the comments, maybe there are cases when they are really needed). If you need new versions of specific packages - you can install backported, but at the same time keep the OS stable.
The presence of an OS with a short period of support can lead to the following problems:
Immediately after the release of the OS contain a lot of errors that are promptly corrected;
A short period of support makes the OS after a certain period of time unsafe for use (the period of support for non-LTS versions of Ubuntu is 9 months). At the same time, switching to a new version is not always easy due to the OS integration with the platform (autoscaling, etc.);
It is not easy for users to explain that they need to use not the latest version of the OS, but stable, in most tasks.
OS with a short period of support uses an extremely small number of users.
