Master KIT announces a competition for the name of an open project to create a children's designer who will combine 3D modeling training and electronics research.

The first steps have already been taken (models of two modules are ready), but we need ideas for further development of the project: name, modules, etc.

The idea started from one of the letters from customers of our 3D printers and began to develop with the participation of our developers (continued here and here ). In the proposed direction, we made STL files of cubes of our own design and asked ourselves the question “what module to do next?” So, to make a spectacular step from a set of children's cubes to the designer, which is repeated and can be developed further at home.
Made a rotation module - STL files . During the development process, we tried to make it articulated, but it turned out that it was hard to put the wheels on it, although it is best suited to simulate joints (joints) in robots or other models. Therefore, we returned to the realization of a simple rotation and to ensure the attachment of this module to any combination of other cubes.
In the near future plans to make a hinge (ball) and come up with a name for the designer, who can be printed at home. As well as modules for mounting arduin and power sources (at the request of readers of our blog).
