“I am pleased to announce the first working draft of Virgin in Russia - Virgin Connect. We came to Russia because we believe in the huge potential growth of this wireless communications market.

The main principle of the Virgin: "Delivering the customer an extraordinary consumer pleasure." Virgin Connect will cut down the “tariff jungle” and the bureaucracy that has been observed on this (Russian) market over the past few years. We will provide the Russians with a fresh product with a human face and believe that Trivon is the ideal partner in achieving this goal. Virgin Connect plans to get 10% of the providers market in 5 years, ”says Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group.

Virgin Connect will provide broadband WiMAX access to the Internet, as well as a number of some additional services, including VoIP, to individuals and legal entities.

Virgin and Trivon came to Russia, naturally, not "walking in sandals". The Swiss telecom Trivon, established in 2004, has subsidiaries that provide Internet access in several Russian regions since 2005. And in 2007, Trivon bought a telecommunications holding, which owned a number of licenses for providing broadband access to the network and VoIP.
