Karmaworking

From the very beginning of our work (the co- working club “Towers” in Yekaterinburg ) one thought haunts me. It is, in general, simple but important:

Why does one place cost $ 250 and another place $ 110? What is their difference?

You will say the difference in needs. It seems like for $ 250 a large fixed table is given, a separate Internet channel, a telephone, a safe, a printer and a shelf in the fridge, and for $ 110 there is only space on the floor and two sockets. Someone needs a table, someone does not need a table. Someone communicates with a crowd of customers, someone kodit under hard metal, someone gnaws a pencil, picking up phrases. Everyone needs different.
')
Well, of course it is, but what about the very concept of “co-working”? After all, this is by definition - close cooperation, almost living together, friendly atmosphere. Does a person with a $ 250 spot prevent others from using a printer or telephone? Really, when collecting a team for another project, one will store the project data right there in the safe, and the other will carry home 120 km every evening? After all, this is some kind of non-trekking work.

We were joking, sitting five of us. And came up with “Karmavorking” :)

In the “Tower” there are 4 types of places: “one-time visit”, “roving place”, “personal table” and “large table”. They cost, respectively, 300, 2500, 4000 and 6000 rubles. So, we received a proposal to consider these figures as karma, and according to it, distribute the right and order of access to resources.

A kovorker with karma 4000 has the primary right to a fixed small table, which is quite enough for fruitful work, but not enough for working with clients. He can use a large table to “talk to a client” if he is not busy, but the co-worker with karma 6000 has the primary right and in case of something he will drive out the first :)

In turn, Karma 4000 gives you the right to drive out a sofa maker with a karma 2500 entrenched behind him from his small cozy table. Access to common resources such as the Internet, a refrigerator, a printer / scanner, a shower, a conference and other joys of life always exist, but the access procedure again determined by karma.

Not fair? Of course, it's not fair :) This is so, no more than a joke: in fact, of course, no one should have the right to defy his “vipity” and consider someone higher, and someone lower than himself; Yes, and the relationship between the coworkers is not limited to the value of the monthly payment. But the problem is, and not at all contrived.

Help guys. Who sees what solutions?
