The site of Mikhail Gorbachev hacked
On Saturday afternoon, the Mikhail Gorbachev Foundation’s website resumed its work, which was closed after it was hacked by a group of hackers who posted political statements and criticisms of the former leader of the USSR on the front page.
The crackers, apparently from Azerbaijan, accused Gorbachev of brutally suppressing popular unrest in 1990, when Soviet troops practically took Baku by storm on the night of January 19-20. That month became known in the country as “Black January”. The unrest was then accompanied by riots in the homes of the Armenian population.
No comments from the injured party have yet been received.
