Bubot: Scout - a machine with control through a web interface without a line of code
I have long wanted to make a machine with a camera, controlled via a web interface. I offer you a video on how to program such a machine, without writing a single line of code.
The video was made in continuation of the review article on the framework for robotics and home automation. ')
The list of necessary iron for those who wanted to do the same (in brackets the line for the search and their estimated cost on Aliexpress). Required list:
A machine or tank of suitable size (the best is any SUV 40-50 cm in length, choose the option with the maximum angle of rotation of the front wheels)
Mini computer (Raspberry Pi 2 - $ 40)
Driver for connecting two motors (L298N motor driver board - $ 2)
Camera, we take with a wide-angle lens (Raspberry Pi Camera Module Kit Fisheye Lens - $ 35)
Voltage stabilizers, I took two lower with 12V, separately for the computer separately for the serv (DC-DC LM2596 - 2 x 1 $)
Wi-Fi adapter for a home is a simple (EP-N8508GS - $ 7), and for driving through the office with a large number networks had to put a more powerful D-Link antenna on 5Db
Additional options:
Infrared floodlights on the camera to see in the dark (Raspberry Pi Camera Infrared LED - $ 2 x 7)
The length of the standard cable of the camera (15cm) most likely you do not have enough to take 30, and preferably 50cm (raspberry pi camera cable - $ 3)
Platform for a camera for turns in two planes (Camera platform - $ 3)
Good servos to rotate the camera, with cheap money. One of the indicators of good servy can be considered a turning speed, not more than 0.08 (9g Digital Servo 2 x 7 $)
The battery, then choose to your taste, you can first leave the one that is on the machine. There will in any case be more than 5 volts.
Speakers and power amplifier. In order for 2-3 W speakers to be heard well in a large office, you need to put the amplifier at 15-20 W. Pay attention to the power supply voltage of the amplifier, as a rule they need 12 V.
Control of battery discharge on board, ordered not checked yet (I2C INA219 module - $ 7)
Total approximate budget without battery, audio system and most cars about $ 86, and with additional options $ 140.
