Codex and TechExpert in all iPads of the country
On a wonderful March morning, a real event occurred in our company.
Our first free iOS apps - Codex and TechExpert for iPad (version 1.0.8) saw the light.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all iPad users will be able to work with current and constantly updated documents placed in the electronic fund docs.cntd.ru. By the way, this is more than 17 million units of legal and regulatory and technical documentation, so everything is no joke. In this post, I will talk about applications not from the point of view of commerce, but only about the main technical issues that I hope the community will be interested in - about features.

Everyone may need operational legal support, when a decision must be made in a matter of minutes, and there is no possibility to consult with lawyers. We created the application "Code", so that any person could solve their everyday problems, regardless of where he is. To do this, the content of the application includes all areas of legal regulation that may worry any of us. In the version you will find the Constitution of the Russian Federation, all codes and federal laws of our country, as well as popular Government decrees and news of the law.
The TechExpert application has a different task. The application will be useful to the builder, designer, standardizer, metrologist, specialist in the field of safety and labor protection, energy - that is, every technical specialist. There you can already find technical regulations, including TR CU, popular GOST, GOST R, important SP, SNiP and others, news of the professional sphere.
As for interesting technical possibilities, for the TechExpert application these are scanner copies for many regulatory and technical documents. Let me remind you that a copy scanner is the highest form of documentation reliability. If an architect at a construction site opens a GOST of interest to him in this format, he can be sure that this document is in front of him that guarantees maximum reliable information.
