We invite students to Imagine Day: April 18 in Moscow

Friends! You have probably already heard about our international student competition Imagine Cup , in which student teams come up with and implement their software projects and games. So, the national Russian final of the competition will take place on April 18, 2015 (Saturday) as part of a large student event - Imagine Day . Register , come yourself, bring friends, or join the online broadcast on the site ImagineCup.ru .



The event will be held on the territory of Technopolis Moscow (m. Tekstilshchiki) and will begin at 10:00. During the day there will be many interesting activities on the site. A series of interesting speeches will be held in the large hall, which will also be broadcast online:

• Andrei Egorov , Head of the Skolkovo Open University and a representative of Singularity University in Russia, will tell you about what future awaits us in terms of technology
• Alexey Fedorov from Microsoft will lift the veil of secrecy over the fact that we are waiting for us after Windows 7 and Windows 8
• Dmitry Kalaev , director of the acceleration and educational programs of the IIDF, will acquaint you with the basics of technology entrepreneurship
• Oleg Pridyuk from GameInsight will talk about how games actually make
• Svetlana Razumova from Microsoft HR will share her secrets how to get a job in an international company.
• Yevgeny Agafonov from ABBYY, Microsoft MVP, will tell you how to measure the quality of education using Microsoft Azure
• Evgeny Romin and the Brainy Studio team, winners of the Imagine Cup 2014, will tell about the secrets of success and how to create your own small game studio.

In parallel, in a separate room will be the performances of the teams:

• Games (11: 00-13: 00) - teams of SPSU, SUSU, Lipetsk GTU, NIU MEI SF, PNIPU, MBOU Secondary School No. 37, YSTU will perform
• social projects (11: 00-13: 00) - there will be teams of SkolTech, MIPT, UNN, SUSU, KuzGTU, Baltic Federal University, UlSTU
• Innovations (14: 30-16: 30) - teams of MIPT, SkolTech, St. Petersburg National Research University ITMO, St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University, UNN, PNRTU, RSUHU, International Banking Institute
• Imagine Day will also summarize the school master code competition, schoolchildren will fight on the court for the main prize

Live broadcasts of speeches will not be, but you can watch short interviews with teams online. We invite all visitors to the event to watch not only the performances in the large hall, but also to visit the performances of the teams in order to cheer for them and see how interesting projects students in Russia make.

During the event, you can watch the exhibition of student projects, talk with the teams and touch the prototypes. The exhibition will be held from 13:30 to 14:30.

According to the results of the performances, the winners of the Russian finals in each of the three categories will be selected. One of these teams will represent Russia at the international finals in Seattle in the summer of 2015.
