Of course, for most sites, choosing a profile at the entrance to the site is overkill. But for developed social networks it would be useful (when there is more than one person using a social network on a computer).

It is also obvious that this issue can be partially resolved by the browser itself (auto-completion and storage of passwords). However, if the portal offered such an opportunity, it would be more convenient.

As for spammers, maybe it will be of little help for growing clones. But robots such an option to enter the site can be confusing: the choice of profile can be made a field with a list and there will not be a text field for entering a username.
