Well, the answer to the question of where to get the Spartan (I’ll call him that way) is simple: it isn’t put on the current OS separately - this is understandable, because the Spartan is a Windows 10 application, which means you can get the Spartan only with Windows previews 10 Technical Preview . Under the link you will be able to download the ISO image with the March build of Windows 10 - 10041, if my memory serves me correctly.
But this is not enough - after installing Windows 10 TP, you will also need to get updates to 10049. To do this, go to All Settings -> Update & Recovery -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options and select the frequency of preliminary versions there - Fast .
After that, check for updates - and fbl_impressive update will come to you 10049% RevisionAC% . After some time and a number of reboots, you will have the latest edition of Windows 10 TP with the Spartan in the lineup.
Externally, the browser is very compact, without packs of extra tabs - the minimalistic design of the Windows 10 application. And the settings are all removed into the leaving side tile. But there are not so many settings as expected ... Compared to Grandpa AE, for sure.
For example, I did not find the settings for the proxy server, it was a long, epic, but ... Did they get it out - and that’s that !? Well ... And yes and no. We drank from the browser itself, not from the OS - now these settings are configured in All Settings -> Network & Internet -> Proxy , which is true in principle, just more unusual ... Windows 10 - the era of change is coming!
Among other things, the developer tools that invoke F12 are now looking more digestible and clear - as they open in a separate window, rather than skimping the page.
Well, the most necessary feature that appeared is the ability to draw directly on top of a web page, make notes in this way - and then immediately send the result via OneNote, social networks or send by mail ...
The download menu has also become a side tile, called with Ctrl + J. As for security policies and the relevant rules, then you need to wait for the latest version of Windows Server vNEXT to see how it interacts and what gives. Sure - there are a lot of interesting things!
Subjectively - the browser is fast, smart, without lags and crap. Flash and other charms are already built in - it has been so custom since the days of Windows 8 that it makes me happy personally! Let's hope that WinTen will really take the best from Win7 and Win8 - and it will make a splash!
And last but not least - I want you to download and install Windows 10 TP in every possible way - despite the fact that this is a preliminary version, it is extremely stable and without any special glitches. Here there can only be one recommendation - if you want a more stable operation - then just select the mode for receiving updates Slow - and you will receive less frequent assemblies - but more clearly!
Well, get ready: somewhere around May there will be new exams on Windows 10, I look forward to, I wonder, what will they ask there? ..
It is also worth noting that if you now receive the status of MCSA: Windows 8.1, then to update the status to Windows 10 you will need to pass only one exam: 70-697 ... And you will be able to do it for free!
You can also register on the connect.microsoft.com portal and specify the interests of beta exams and the products you are interested in when filling out a profile. Then at the beginning of the beta exam period, you will receive a voucher for taking this exam for free. When you pass the beta assessment exams, you will not immediately see the assessment, since the task of the beta exams is to form a rating scale. After its formation, your results are compared again, and if you have passed the exam, then it is counted to you, displayed earlier, and has the Charter Member prefix.
