“Labor of the new generation” - those with 7+ gadgets

Analytical company IDC conducted a study of the culture of communications among office workers in 17 countries around the world and identified the so-called “hyperconnecting”, which is inherent in an increasing number of people. Those who use at least seven devices and nine communication applications fell under the definition of “hyper-legal”. Such devices and applications include mobile and landline phones, computers, laptops, PDAs, pagers, car communication systems, email programs, IM messengers, twitter, social networks, blogs, forums, online games. It's hard to believe, but some people manage to use all of the above at the same time. And these were not units, but as many as 16% among all the interviewed employees.

Unlike psychiatrists , analysts from IDC do not consider such people mentally ill, but, on the contrary, call them "the labor force of the new generation." They also note that in the “hyper-legal” world, the lines between personal and working life are blurred, because gadgets and applications are used the same there and there (in the future, employees may well hold meetings through Facebook or Odnoklassniki). This trend must necessarily take into account the developers of IT tools, as well as the creators of information security systems.
