Everybody knows that the Google Search empire is huge, but how big is it? A great post on
Silicon Alley Insider , where on the charts everything is clearly visible and visually understandable, why Microsoft (MSFT) fidgets and does not find a place for itself from the impressive growth of Google (GOOG). And there are many reasons for nervous breakdowns, one of which is that next year, at about the same time, Google Search (not including AdSense revenue!) Will be more profitable and larger than the two Microsoft products taken together - Windows and Office.
Henry Blodget cites 3 main reasons for Google’s success:
* Both products are
natural monopolies ;
* Both products are fantastically profitable;
* Google as a natural monopoly is growing much faster than Microsoft.

Very interesting and professional comments, I recommend reading them, for example, mattydread gives figures on the yield for individual products:
Exchange - $ 2B / year;
SharePoint - $ 1B / year;
Microsoft Business Solutions - more than $ 1B / year;
Project - $ 1B / year;
Comms Server and Visio at $ 500m / year each.
That is, all Office products in the business segment were profitable, with the exception of Comms Server.
