Empire strikes back or Yandex.Maps now determine a location without GPS

Most of you are sure that last autumn Google introduced a mobile version of its Google Maps with the ability to determine the approximate location without GPS at the base stations of cellular operators. This is quite a handy feature, but its disadvantage is that it works only with Windows Mobile, Symbian and Java (only on Sony Ericsson).

It turns out that on April 29th, the beta version of Yandex.Map was presented with the same opportunity .
