New generation of e-paper

The company E-Ink announced the completion of the development of a new generation of screens created on the basis of electronic paper. The main advantage of the development is the ability to design, with its help, firstly, flat models of arbitrary shape and, secondly, curved screens.

As a demonstration model of the new E-Ink technology, a curved keyring for motorists was chosen. The electronic key fob screen is capable of displaying the status of a number of vehicle systems and the amount of fuel in the tank.

Unfortunately, there is no information about when at least some devices with a new electronic paper will appear on the market. About the cost, respectively, too.
