Let's see what exactly the customer needs. By themselves, "fashionable chips", "vebdvanolnosti", "Ajax-figaks" he does not need. You'd be surprised, but customers do not need XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL. Even CMS customers themselves nafig not needed.

And what do they need?

For example, an online store selling goods. To corporate site attracted customers, partners, employees. To the promo site of any action informed about the conditions of this very action. So that, ultimately, the cost of his business would grow. So, to do this is the task of the studio. For example, in an online store, you can add to the cart with a reload of the entire page, or you can use Ajax or something similar to update only the state of a button and a block with goods. Or "recalculate the cart" automatically. This will be good. The site will work more conveniently. It is logical to assume (for now, only to assume that the real numbers will put everything in its place) that this will reduce the percentage of failures, “abandoned baskets”, respectively, will increase profits from this store. But at the same time, the customer will be able to use Ajax, other chips are not needed. People bought no typewriters. They bought a tool to solve a specific problem, and when the available printers appeared, the typewriter market collapsed.

Maybe the customer simply does not need these bells and whistles to solve his problems?

We use all sorts of modern things where they really benefit . For example, Yandex or Google maps are more convenient for motorists and pedestrians than a pre-cut, unscrollable location map. “Recalculating the recycle bin” without the “Refresh” button and adding goods to the cart without reloading the page, checking the correctness of filling in the form fields before sending to the server, introducing videos about the product from “YouTube” - we do all this, but only where it is justified economically. Even tags in the online store (we have a mechanism that combines the advantages of tags and categories). Here, microformats on the corporate website are not used by anyone yet. And integration with Odnoklassniki too. And already tweeted with the order "Twitter" with "Flicker". And a lot of bullshit, which young developers have hammered into their heads.

Substituting the goal means, success is not achieved!

Guys (and girls too)! You can be aware of all the new products, dream of startups, impose validly and best of all, be able to fasten “Twitter” and “Flicker” ... ) and make them “business card sites” and “any old stuff”.
