Apple and Microsoft fixed FREAK vulnerability

Earlier we wrote about the dangerous vulnerability of FREAK, which was found in the OpenSSL library, as well as in the MS Schannel software package. Vulnerability was fixed by Apple for iOS 8 (APPLE-SA-2015-03-09-1 iOS 8.2) and OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5, OS X Mavericks v10.9.5, OS X Yosemite v10.10.2 (APPLE-SA-2015 -03-09-3 Security Update 2015-002).



For Windows 2003 Server - Windows 10 TP, this vulnerability was closed as part of patch tuesday, which was released on Tuesday this week. FREAK has been closed by updating MS15-031 (Vulnerability in Schannel Could Allow Security Feature Bypass) in the Schannel.dll library. For Windows 7 & 8.1 users, this update was automatically installed (default security settings).
