Censor links by Skype

This morning, several acquaintances complained that it was impossible to send links via Skype and asked to check the computer for viruses. Having asked for more detail, it turned out that Skype cuts links from the popular online store dx.com (perhaps other of those that I use affected only DX).

Deletion occurs regardless of the client’s platform and version, it’s quite fun. The link first arrives and is deleted after a split second. Which means that all messages appear to be duplicated into some kind of robot, which already decides what to do next with the message. At the same time, if you edit a censored message, for example, put a space somewhere, then the message does not pass through the filter and normally reaches the addressee.

Update: In group chat rooms, links reach without censorship.

Update2: MERRON clarified that when sending messages from old clients, they reach uncensored. Tested on skype 5.5 for Windows XP / 7. Perhaps it is the client who sends messages somewhere for moderation.
