Xkcd

The xkcd comic strip draws Randall Munroe. Since there are not so many IT comics, translations often pop up here.
I have a few requests and tips for translators:

• Before you make a new translation, check to see if there is a ready one. If the comics are fresh, perhaps the translation is already there, but we have not published it yet . We spend a few days on translation. This allows you to make the translation better.
  Have you decided to take our picture? Please put a link to us.
  Have you decided to make a new translation? Almost certainly you should join us . In our mailing list , at times, you can hear a lot of useful tips on translation. We will be terribly happy, really.
  Each xkcd comic has a caption (a tooltip on mouseover). Do not hurt her, sometimes she even funnier comics.

  These tips are probably not limited to xkcd:
  
  • Put a link to the original (on the right strip). You'd be surprised, but many here speak English.
    Use readable fonts . In fact, I myself am very poorly versed in fonts.
    Re-read the translation to reduce the number of typos and grammatical errors .
    Do not try to translate literally . Try to formulate as if you said it yourself.
