CoinFest-2015-Moscow

On Saturday, February 21, the Coinfest-2015-Moscow user and amateur cryptocurrency conference was held in the Moscow Nexon hackspace.

The event was held as part of the CoinFest World Conference, which took place these days at a dozen open sites in St. Petersburg, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Denver, Buenos Aires, Rome and Indian Hyderabad.

CoinFest, by definition, is an open, strictly non-commercial conference that anyone can join.

The conference was aimed at educating the public, who are still very little aware of cryptocurrencies as the obvious financial instruments of the future.

In total, the conference was attended by representatives of various fields of activity, partner organizations, various universities and specializations, as well as those who were interested in learning about cryptocurrency. Within one day, the speakers and participants of the conference uncovered cryptocurrency technologies and evaluated the prospects for its use in the economy, determined the development vector.

During the event, participants not only received interesting information about how to use cryptocurrency, but also learned directly about the unique opportunities that they offer.



The conference program covered in detail the topics of the advantages of cryptocurrency, as digital money, over existing monetary instruments, in particular:

• 100% protection against falsification that no intruder can overcome
• the absence of a single emission center, a printing press, a central bank, because each cryptocurrency is itself Central Bank
• independence of payments and payments in cryptocurrency from economic crises, political restrictions - no state can ban, restrict, or set any rules for them
• denominations and purchasing power of cryptocurrency is not tied to the dollar, the euro, to any currency, precious metal, to any value of a barrel
