Sony has chosen Opera 9.5 SDK for Devices for use ... in VGF-CP1 digital photo frames. The novelty has a 7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 and built-in memory of 512 MB. In addition, it is worth noting the presence of a card reader for memory cards such as CF, MS, SD, as well as support for the following file formats: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, MP3 and WAV.
In addition to displaying pictures (Opera in full screen mode), this device, equipped with a built-in WiFi adapter, can receive data from a computer and the Internet, including from popular photo archives. Also, Opera functionality allowed to add the ability to view websites and receive RSS newsletters in the photo frame. The photo frame is running under the control of another “universal” - the specialized operating system Timesys Linux 2.6.19.
