Introducing the new version of Kerio Control 8.5

Today, Kerio Technologies has released Kerio Control 8.5 with enhanced security due to 2-step user verification and numerous improvements for ease of use.

“We continue to improve security without sacrificing simplicity,” said Mirek Kren, COO and Chief Executive Officer of Kerio Technologies. "The new release adds important and effective security features that can be easily implemented in any network without significant disruption to the operation of the enterprise."

A 2-step user verification will allow enterprises to improve the security of remote access to network resources by requiring a one-time access code with a limited period of validity (TOTP) in addition to the user's credentials. Business owners can be confident that network resources remain secure, even if passwords are in the wrong hands.

The new service discovery redirection system in Kerio Control 8.5 makes the network configuration process flexible and simple. Remote users can now view, discover, and connect to devices, such as printers, file servers, and scanners on different networks or Kerio VPN tunnels.

Kerio simplifies the process of installing and updating the Kerio VPN client with a new installation package that allows deployment through third-party tools such as Apple Remote Desktop or FileWave.

With the help of an extended set of email notifications in Kerio Control 8.5, administrators will be informed about important network events and system status. One checkbox during the installation phase uses the most important system notifications.
