OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta

The beta version of OpenOffice.org open office suite is available for download.

In the new version there are such changes:

• Mac OS X support ( X11 is now not needed for launch)
• ODF 1.2 support (New version of the open standard OpenDocument Format (ODF) )
• Import filters from Microsoft Office 2007
• Improvements to the charting component
• Improving the Crop tool in Draw and Impress
• The ability to work together on one document
• Increase the number of columns in Calc from 256 to 1024
• Ability to view several pages at once when editing in Writer
• Improvements to work with notes in Writer

• PDF / A support and PDF export enhancements

And many other changes.

Downloads for various platforms are available on the download page. The size of the load depending on the platform ranges from 150 to 200 MB .
