Layout of structured data allows you to show additional information from your site in search results and Google services. We are pleased to present several updates that will help create markup on the site:
Structured Data Verification Tool
The new
Structured Data Verification Tool better shows how Google interprets the structured data markup on a website page.

The following features are available:
- Check for all Google functions based on structured data.
- JSON-LD markup syntax support, including for pages with dynamic HTML.
- Visual representation of the structured data elements on your page.
- Highlighting markup errors directly in the HTML source code.
New documentation and simpler rules
We took into account feedback from webmasters and clarified the description of supported elements of structured data. The
new documentation tells you what markup to add to take advantage of the various content presentation options, and also provides code examples for the various syntax options supported. We plan to replace the old documentation with a new one.
We also simplified and clarified the
rules for using structured data . If you believe that any site violates Google’s quality guidelines for advanced descriptions, please let us know via
the spam notification form in our advanced web page descriptions .
Extended JSON-LD support
We expanded the set of supported
schema.org elements in the
JSON-LD syntax , adding
new use cases : logos and contact information for companies, links to profiles in social networks, Knowledge Network events, a site link search window and extended descriptions of events.

As always, we will be very pleased with your feedback and questions that can be asked on the
