And Vitaly Kolesnik is “friendly” mainly with English-speaking gurus from my twitter. But Anton Verinov knows almost every one of those whom I follow, except for exactly the same English-speaking gurus.

* Check if the person you know has received an e-mail.
If he was at a conference or meetings all day (about which he wrote on twitter), then it is clear that the mailbox could not yet be read. In general, microblogging is an alternative to instant messanging and email.
* Make a “navigation” profile of your site - publish links to articles and materials (this can be done automatically, but the value then decreases).
* Quickly notify about events. In the US, information about the movement of Hurricane Katrina or about fire outbreaks in forests appeared faster on twitter than on other channels. But you can simply organize a meeting of your friends (those who follow you).
