Today we migrated hubs.
Changes in hubs on "Habrahabr"
Previously existing hubs "3G", "LTE" and "Radio" were combined into one common hub "
Communication Standards ". Thanks to the rapid development of technologies, new communication standards are constantly emerging, while others, on the contrary, are dying. In order not to go into details, we decided to combine everything into one hub.
Similarly acted with the hubs "Telephony" and "IP-telephony." These hubs mainly published texts on the creation and development of communications solutions. We decided to merge these hubs into one and called it “
Development of communication systems ”. Plus, we have created another hub that will be of interest to those interested in developing telecommunication solutions - “
Development of data transmission systems ”.
Changes in hubs on Geektimes and "Megamind"
The launch of "
Megamind " allowed to bring even more order in the hubs on projects. And today, such hubs as "
Career in the IT-industry " and "
Legislation and IT-business " moved there, as much closer in meaning for "Megamind". At the same time the hub "
Regulation of the Internet " and "
Finance in the IT-industry " remained on Geektimes. We planned to transfer the latter to Megamozg, but abandoned this idea - there is already a suitable hub called “Venture Investments”, plus we created another one - “
Mergers and Acquisitions ”.
')
We decided to stop the transfer of hubs between projects, but we are ready for advice and suggestions. Regarding merging, renaming or adding new hubs - perhaps you have some specific suggestions that we will be happy to listen to in the same way.
Bonus
We recently lowered the threshold for receiving invitations for publishing to specialized hubs from 100 units to 50. In the comments to the announcement, many users with good publications rightly complained that it would be great to issue invites for previously published texts that could not score the required 100 rating units. This is a really good idea and today a UFO has finally sent invites to authors in specialized hubs with ratings from 50 to 99 that have been deployed over the past 2 years to three of our projects:
Habrahabr ,
Megamind and
Geektimes .
Invite more good people.
Have a good weekend!
