It lasted until December 31 - the day, which was marked almost by a "head-on collision" of two search engines, when their traffic indicators almost converged at one point. After the 31st, judging by the schedule, the reverse process started, and Yandex with Google reached out to their usual marks.

, the head of the research department SpyLOG Sergey Kedrov noted that the graph shows relative data, and the absolute ones look somewhat different. He explains the fall in Yandex indicators by the departure of his audience for the winter holidays.
“On holidays in Russia, there is no activity not only on the Internet, but also offline,” confirmed Mikhail Ushakov, Yandex’s spokesperson, “look, for example, at the traffic on Yandex.Probka. The absolute number of conversions on December 31 fell in all search engines - this is clearly seen in the similar
statistics of Liveinternet . ” In his opinion, it will be possible to talk about some trends by the end of next week, when the majority of Russian users will return for their computers. Western traffic, according to Ushakov, always grows on weekends and holidays.
