YouTube hotkeys

All of us (well, almost) use the YouTube service, but not everyone knows that the process of watching videos on the above service can be compared in convenience with watching videos on a local media player (for example, Media Player Classic), if you use hot keys.

Going to the controls with the mouse is not always convenient, I really like the hot keys and, besides, I did not find such a publication on Habré, so I decided to start small and devote my first publication to compiling a detailed list of YouTube hot keys.

Playback control

Space or k : pause / play
> : increase playback speed
< : decrease playback speed

f (fullscreen): go to fullscreen mode and vice versa (you can also exit fullscreen mode using the Esc key )

Rewind video

← - rewind for 5 seconds
→ - fast forward for 5 seconds
Ctrl + ← or j - rewind for 10 seconds
Ctrl + → or l - fast forward for 10 seconds

0 or Home - rewind the video to the beginning
1 - rewind to the position of 10% of the total video time
...
9 - rewind to the position of 90% of the total video time
End - rewind the video to the end

Volume control

↑ - increase the volume by 5%
↓ - reduce the volume by 5%
m (mute) - turn off / on sound

Playlist navigation

N (Next) - go to the next video in the playlist
P (Previous) - go to the previous video in the playlist

Other features

/ - move the cursor to the search field (works even in full screen mode)
Esc - leave the search field / exit full screen mode
? - show / hide help by hotkeys (you can also hide by Esc )
