Information about this has already begun to leak into the media:
“The United States recently adopted new trade restrictions that prevent American companies from doing business with individuals and legal entities located in Crimea (Ukraine).” As a result, we are no longer able to provide our services to these customers, ”the GoDaddy letter says.
The company notifies users that they need to close their account and registered domains until January 31, 2015. Paid domain names expire as a result of these restrictions and will automatically be put on sale.

UPD.
CNews reports that it seems that blocking GoDaddy accounts will affect not only residents of the Crimea.
There is information from the user who said that GoDaddy is “killing” his Moscow account, since the Crimean online store uses one of the 82 domains listed for it. Crimean affiliation of this store is visible in the records of the service Whois.

UPD.2
Roem.Ru informs that the representative of the registrar 101domain reported that his company introduced similar measures to the residents of Crimea, but he immediately gives a life hacking how to avoid sanctions:
Denis Rotanov, director general of the Russian representative office of 101domain registrar, said that they have a similar policy, but to avoid blocking “it’s enough to change the name of the city”.
