Apple has released a new update for iOS - iOS 8.1.3 (APPLE-SA-2015-01-27-2). In this version of the mobile OS, a number of bugs have been fixed, as well as security vulnerabilities, including those that could potentially be used by attackers to install malware. Mobile iOS 8 is used on Apple devices such as the iPhone 4s +, iPod touch 5 and iPad 2+. Apple also fixed a known vulnerability called Masque (CVE-2014-4493), which we wrote about in detail here and which allowed overwriting one iOS application to another.
