Coloring text to facilitate and speed up reading

Having read all sorts of photomails and speedouts, a thought came into my head. Perhaps it is not new, but I came up with it =) What if I painted the text so that it was easier to read it? For example, take 3 colors - light gray, dark gray and black. Light-gray paint "water", dark-gray - important information. Black is only the most important and main idea.

A person chooses for himself the level of perception of information - either he just wants to learn briefly the conclusion of the topic, or with details, but only the most important, or read everything. Even if he chooses the latter - he can read by sliding. The lighter the text, the faster you can run through it with your eyes.

Those who own the methods of fast reading are probably useless.

What do you think of it? I am very interested in your opinion

As an example, I painted a copy article from a habr. For the sake of experiment, you can read it quickly - only dark fragments. And then everything. And compare.

Experts from TNS, an international research company, found that SMS and e-mail on a mobile phone are gradually losing their popularity. "Non-voice" communication is now increasingly based on instant messaging. According to a study (PDF), in which 17 thousand respondents from 30 countries of the world took part , 61% of mobile phone owners who use instant messaging services when communicating, 55% use SMS and only 12% use electronic communication. mail

Of course, these figures are very subjective (the question was specifically “fitted” under the thesis illustration: it was the active users of IM who were polled). In reality, IM is still very far from SMS popularity , but despite this, the trend is still there: the number of IM messages is indeed growing, and the popularity of SMS is gradually decreasing.

Today, 11 of the 100 messages sent from mobile phones or personal computers around the world are instant messages . At the same time for fans of this type of communication, this number increases to 36 messages out of 100, and the method of communication itself is the main form of non-voice communication. On the other hand, the number of SMS sent by instant messaging lovers dropped from 38 to 23 out of 100 messages.

The use of e-mail in this category of mobile phone owners is also below the average: 21 messages out of 100 are sent by e-mail by supporters of instant messaging services, the rest resort to this method of transmitting information more often (31 messages out of 100).

The choice of IM instead of SMS is quite logical: “As soon as mobile phone owners have access to the Internet and are able to use instant messaging services, the cost of text messages drops sharply and tends to almost zero , as users in this case pay only for traffic , and the messages themselves nothing cost them. In addition, a large number of people used to communicate using instant messaging services over the Internet on personal computers, so they are eager to switch to similar communication on their mobile phones. And as more and more mobile operators offer their customers unlimited access to the Internet, we can confidently talk about the further rise in the popularity of instant messages and the decreasing role of SMS and email messages, ”TNS experts explain.

Today, 8% of people communicate via mobile phone all over the world . The most popular such communication in Hong Kong , where this figure reaches 23% . This is followed by China (16%), Saudi Arabia (15%), South Africa (12%), India (11%) and Brazil (10%) . In Russia, the number of mobile phone owners who prefer to use instant messaging services for non-voice communication is still 3% .

ps surely I painted not optimally. something unnecessary has been allocated, and the necessary is omitted. I just wanted to set an example. waiting for comments.
