The revenue of the creators of Firefox in 2005 was $ 52.9 million.

Mitchell Baker, head of the Mozilla Foundation , reported that the total income of this fund and the Mozilla Corporation was $ 52.9 million in 2005. Thus, it became known that the organizations involved in creating the free Firefox browser and a number of other products received substantial financial resources.

The main income came, of course, from working with Google (as you know, this company pays the creators of Firefox for the fact that by default the browser search is done through Google search engines). Baker itself refers to this collaboration as search engine relationships. Other sources of revenue include sponsorship and the sale of goods through its own online store.

Expenditures of the Mozilla Foundation in 2005 amounted to $ 8.2 million, and the remaining $ 44.7 million were transferred to the “reserve fund”.
