According to Kompyulenta , HP specialists created a memristor - the fourth passive element of electrical circuits. The memristor functions on the basis of a known physical phenomenon of hard magnetic materials - hysteresis. The advantages of the memristor are obvious - the memory becomes non-volatile and is able to maintain its state when a sudden power outage. But what the publication was silent about was the fact that a rather strong current is needed for the magnetization reversal of the hard magnetic material. Where it will come from in portable systems is a mystery. Your opinions?
