The release of the educational program for startups ABRT-Mangrove CEO Camp 2.0

ABRT-Mangrove CEO Camp 2.0, an educational project for the founders of promising start-ups, organized by ABRT Venture Fund, Mangrove Capital Partners, RIS Ventures and ITMO Business Incubator with expert support from Veeam Software, has recently completed. The main goal of the CEO Camp project is not to receive investment projects by the participants, but to accelerate their own revenues . Startup CEO Day was the “final chord” of hard, but fruitful, eight-week work. Experts and trackers, graduates from CEO Camp 1.0 and graduates from CEO Camp 2.0 met at the same site, as well as investors who gave an assessment of the participants' work and the program itself.

Startup CEO Day was divided into two parts.

In the first part, the project teams of the previous stream (CEO Camp 1.0) performed. Each presentation began with the selection of the basic skills and tools that were acquired by the participant in the program. For example, Georgy Cheishvili from AddReality spoke about the importance of working with clients through partners. Nikolay Filatov from Go2See - on the construction of hypotheses and speed of their verification. Then, the entrepreneurs turned to the story of the main successes of their projects in the past six months, after the release from the program.

Vasily Dyachenko from the “Factory of Loyalty” dwelled on the case of cooperation with the Burger King network: in less than half a year their application downloaded and recommended more than 170,000 people. Maxim Mozhar from Telemetron announced that the product is fully ready to enter the European market, for which an additional office will be opened in the near future.

The second part of Startup CEO Day consisted of speeches of investors and graduates of the current stream. Representatives of Reksoft, Almaz Capital, ABRT, Maxfield Capital, ImpulseVC, Restart Capital and Mobile GROUP spoke about their investment profile and shared their views on the current state of venture capital investments in Russia.

Graduation projects: PromoAtlas (online system for placing and managing indoor advertising), Excursia (automatic GPS audio guide that determines your location and tells you everything you see), Oriense (devices for the blind and visually impaired), iBinom (online service for quick analytical processing of the human genome for scientific and medical purposes), Sputnik (unique author's excursions), Giftery (gift cards delivered by email), Alphabionics (surgical photos in 3D) and VeeRoute (optimization and automation of business processes in logistics, the best IT -start RUSSIA 2014 according to the competition accelerator GenerationS) told about the results of its eight-week work on the program and outlined goals for the future. Each of the projects highlighted the main “business discoveries” in their activities, which occurred due to participation in the CEO Camp 2.0 program. Many participants noted key changes in their business thinking, and also showed their measurable progress (“Traction”) for the program. For some participants, such progress was the failure in the course of CEO Camp 2.0 from the previous business model and a turn towards a new one.

The work of ABRT-Mangrove CEO Camp 2.0 is over. But the work of our graduates continues. I wish the graduates to remain in high business rhythm, to be resilient to “storms in the markets”, as well as to the successful implementation of all business plans in 2015!
