How to find out what music is playing

Yesterday a rather common problem arose: there is music, but it is not known who is the performer and what is the name of the song. There are several solutions:

• If the song played on the radio , then it was enough to remember the radio station (and that is optional) and time. And then you have to go to the website moskva.fm and find the desired song using these parameters. And you can listen to a passage of the radio and make sure that we have found what we need. This method can be used not only in Moscow, but, for example, here in Yaroslavl too: there are a lot of radio stations broadcasting on Moscow.
• If this is a music file on a computer , then you can use the MusicBrainz service and the special MusicBrainz Tagger program.
• If it is an unsigned CD, then you should use the base freedb.org and any program compatible with this base (for example, CDex ).

But what to do if it is music in a video clip (film) or music recorded on an old medium. And you never know what are the cases. But there is a solution !
