Modern methods of authentication and security of iOS devices
Today we will post two new reports from our mobile developers conference #MBLTDev , which was held in late October in Moscow.
Both reports are dedicated to security: one from EMEA PayPal chapter Tim Messershmidt about modern authentication types, the second from leading security engineer viaForensics Andrei Belenko about iOS device security.
Tim called for refusing passwords and told what they could be replaced with. β8.5% of users use Password as a password or 123456 45% leave the site instead of recovering the password or answering secret questions. Said Tim. βTo enhance security, we at PayPal suggest using wearable devices or passwordless authentication (for example, OpenID).β ')
Presentation Andrew said that the iOS application could go wrong, where security problems arise and how to fix them. And also, what you need to pay attention to when developing applications from the point of view of security and what you absolutely cannot do.
