The average speed of their video viewing is 13.6 Mbit / s. Users of this company less often than others stop watching online video, without waiting for it to download.

Moscow. Rating of fixed operators by average speed and VDI

VIGO introduces the concept of the Integrated Video Delivery Indicator for the first time. The advantage of VDI in its ability to take into account both the traditional technological parameter — the average speed, and the user characteristics of the quality of video viewing — the proportion of views interrupted by the subscribers themselves at the time of buffering (video trails).

VDI (Video Delivery Indicator) is equal to the ratio of average speed to average share of video tracks. Video clips characterize the extreme degree of dissatisfaction of the subscriber with the quality of video viewing.

According to the results of 20.5 million measurements carried out from August to October of the current year in Moscow, the subscribers of the operators 2KOM, Smile, Iskratelekom, GorKom, VimpelCom and Megafon have the best conditions in terms of the quality of online video delivery to CNNN. Their subscribers have the highest maximum average speed *, less often than others, they stop watching online video, without waiting for it to load, and they least of all wait while watching.

* - excluded services in which there are speed limits

Moscow. Watch out time

Below are the statistics on the waiting time when viewing *, which does not take into account the time of the first buffering, buffering after rewinding and changing the bitrate, if they are not longer than 10 seconds.

Least of all, subscribers are forced to wait for the online video to download on the Gorkom company network, and the longest in MGTS.

* - scans with duration less than 10 seconds are excluded
