The appeal commission took away the domain myspace.co.uk from one of the largest social networks
MySpace and returned it to the former owner, a small Internet provider in Stockport, of
Total Web Solutions . Let me remind you that in February 2008 a domain registrar in the .uk zone called
Nominet transferred the domain name myspace.co.uk to the ownership of the social network MySpace.
The domain itself myspace.co.uk was registered by Total Web Solutions 11 years ago, that is, two years before the advent of the social network MySpace. In February, the company Nominet transferred the domain to the ownership of MySpace, and the founders of the domain rightly rebelled to such a dishonest move and filed an appeal. As a result, Total Web Solutions got the domain back.
"We refuse to tolerate such an attitude towards ourselves from the largest media organization," said Paul Fallon, director of Total Web Solutions. He also noted that even though it was difficult, the company held out against such a serious opponent as MySpace.
