Silicon Alley Insider , which was compiled on the basis of the opinions of a large number of different specialists, the Russian Yandex search engine was in sixth place.
The list of the most expensive startups in the world was led by Facebook, estimated by analysts at $ 9 billion. Microsoft estimated the cost of the project at $ 15 billion. The second position is firmly held by the Wikipedia internet encyclopedia worth $ 7 billion. Mozilla Corp. corresponds to an amount of $ 4 billion. Russian search engine Yandex is estimated by experts at $ 3 billion.
Also on the list are the online store Ozon ($ 450 million), the online auction site Craigslist ($ 5 billion) and the social network for professionals LinkedIn ($ 1.3 billion).
