Conference materials on Wolfram technologies: Wolfram Language, Mathematica 10, SystemModeler 4, Wolfram Cloud

In November 2014, there was a tour entitled “The era of Wolfram technologies”, which was conducted jointly by Wolfram Research and Softline.

As part of the tour, a large number of organizations were visited in Moscow, Kazan and Tbilisi: RANEPA, MGTU. N. E. Bauman, MGUPI, MIEM HSE, LANIT, ITIS KFU, Innopolis University, Tbilisi State University, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Roman Osipov “A detailed review of Mathematica 10 and Wolfram Cloud”

The presentation is available here .

The presentation and the video talk about both the Mathematica system and the Wolfram Language programming language in general, as well as many innovations that appeared in the recently released 10th version of Wolfram Language ( Mathematica ):

- the fundamental structures of the language - associative arrays, databases, effective methods of "freezing" the code, time series, templates, HTML, lines, documents;
- Integration with the Wolfram Cloud;
- built-in geometric sublanguage;
- built-in sublanguage of geographical calculations;
- means of centralized access to the Wolfram | Alpha databases and new supervised databases;
- embedded parsers and means of semantic data interpretation;
- Functions for the numerical and analytical solution of differential equations (analytical solution of differential equations with a retarded argument, finite element method for solving PDE for regions of arbitrary shape, etc.);
- machine learning functions;
- date and time functions;
- overview of other built-in functions of the most diverse orientation: from generating and recognizing QR codes to shortening a URL and building Mandelbrot sets.

About Wolfram Programming Cloud described in more detail in the video:

Andrei Makarenko “What is Wolfram Mathematica ? And what can she give you personally? ”

The presentation is available here .

The report is dedicated to effective road maps for the use of Mathematica in research and engineering. It offers a systematic view of the technical positioning of the product relative to other solutions. The outlined material will be useful for beginners and professional users of Mathematica : the first - as a “coordinate system”, the second - as “ideas for reflection”. Unlike the widespread approach, the report does not exaggerate the unique Mathematica technologies, but attempts are made to orient potential users regarding the choice of Wolfram Mathematica as the main computing tool.

Maxim Sakharov "SystemModeler 4"

The presentation is available here .

From the presentation you will learn about:
- a brief history of SystemModeler and its place in the market;
- major innovations SystemModeler 4;
- integration with the Wolfram Mathematica 10 system;
- Find examples of creating models.
