According to some unverified information that comes from the
Chinese resource DigiTimes ,
Asus plans to allocate the
Eee trademark to a “
sub-corporation ”.
In other words:
ASUS , apparently, plans to produce not only cheap subnotebooks under the
Eee labeling, which is quite reasonable, considering the wave of positive opinions about the
Asus EeePC .
However, the
English version of DigiTimes calls the Eee just a “
sub-brand ”. That of these rumors will be true - time will tell, but it is known that Asus plans to release different devices, labeled as Eee.
Expected : E-DT desktop computer, E-TV television (what is meant by this name is still unclear) and 19-21 inch monitors.
The appearance of these products on the market is expected in the third quarter of 2008, that is, in the summer.
')
In addition, Asus marks the
10.6- inch model of the EeePC as 1001, and by the end of the year will release an improved version of the popular
11- inch subnotebook. This is contrary to the statement of Jerry Shen (Jerry Shen, Asus CEO), who said that the EeePC will not go beyond 10 inch screen sizes.
