In the first three months of 2008, 291.5 million mobile phones were sold worldwide. Compared to the same period last year, the market grew by 14.3%.

The leader in the first quarter was Nokia, which occupies 39% of the market. Samsung became the seller number two with a share of 15.9%. Third place in terms of sales went to Motorola, which holds 9.4% of the market.
